The House
DI IORIO MONACO is an exceptional shoe house born in the heart of the Principality of Monaco, where restraint is a strength and discretion a signature.
The Maison was born from a creative passion, that of two sisters, inspired by the strong women who have marked history and driven by the desire to create unique shoes conceived as true works of art.
In exceptional workshops in Italy and Paris, artisans combine their expertise to bring each shoe to life. Every pair is meticulously handcrafted, respecting the most demanding traditions while blending innovation and inventiveness.
Ancient Italian shoemaking traditions meet the art of French gilding. From this union is born an exceptional piece, where dreams reside beneath a sole adorned with gold leaf.
Gold is a signature, discreet, it reveals itself through movement.
The Myth of Gold
In the beginning, gold did not shine. It was light.
A dusting of sunlight fallen from the sky, the trace of the gods as they traversed the world.
The Egyptians used to say, "Gold is the skin of the gods."
The Greeks whispered that he came from the chariot of Helios.
The alchemists knew that it was perfection, not wealth.
But gold was never given to everyone. It only appeared where the step was right.
Man wanted to possess gold. He forged it, piled it up, cursed it. Midas learned: what one touches without respect turns into weight.
Then the gold withdrew. It left the hands, the coffers, the thrones. It waited.
One day, gold understood that it should no longer crown, but support. That it should no longer be shown, but felt.
He stepped down beneath a woman's footsteps. For a woman's footsteps do not crush the world. They trace its path. Every step is an act. Every move, a signature. Every action, a decision.
.
Then the gold became a leaf, thin as a secret, pure as an oath. It slipped under the sole, where no one looks, but where everything begins.
Walking on gold is a reminder that every step deserves to be sacred. Gold leaf is not meant to be seen. It is meant to support those who walk on.
DI IORIO MONACO Each creation carries a story, a philosophy.
